Chi Baobab plant oil eco organic
The baobab, or monkey bread tree, is one of the most famous and characteristic trees in Africa. It is the thickest tree in the world (with a circumference of more than 10 meters) and can sometimes be wider than it is tall. The beautiful creamy-white flowers, which only open at night, are large and hang singly from a flower stalk; they are adapted to pollination by nectar-feeding bats. After flowering, the oval fruits with sour, edible pulp and many seeds appear. These fruits are very nutritious and are packed with vitamin C, antioxidants, and minerals.
The oil is obtained by cold pressing the seeds from ripe fruits. When ripe, the fruits fall to the ground and are collected by the local population. Cold pressing is the best method to preserve all the active ingredients in the oil, making the oil very suitable for general skin care. The oil is golden yellow in color, has a rich and silky texture, a pleasant aroma, and a mild nutty taste.

Baobab oil can be used purely as a skin and massage oil. Baobab softens the skin, including the facial skin. Baobab is quickly and almost completely absorbed by the skin, but leaves an invisible thin layer on the skin, so the skin never feels dry and doesn't feel tight. However, the skin does not feel greasy. Baobab gives the skin a beautiful glow. Baobab acts as a natural moisturizer that keeps the skin supple, especially if the oil is applied to damp skin. Baobab is particularly good for dry, itchy, and damaged skin. Therefore, baobab relieves symptoms of conditions such as dry eczema and sunburn. Use the oil daily. Baobab is very suitable for the treatment of stretch marks (striae) and scars. Due to its vitamin E content, baobab prevents skin damage from free radicals.
Tip! Baobab is fantastic for chapped lips. A small application quickly remedies this.
