Chi Helichrysum Hydrolate Organic
The hydrolate of this herbaceous plant is regenerating, strengthening, aids in the reduction and recovery of bruises and scars. Helichrysum is a ‘must’ after skin damage or cuts, especially in combination with the oil. It is a first choice for stimulating the skin's regenerative capacity.
Hydrolates are gentle and do not sting as they are 100% pure and therefore alcohol-free. Also ideal as a mouthwash (mixed 50:50 with water) to rinse after a dental visit. Helichrysum is also known as the ‘Immortelle’: the immortal. The small flowers of helichrysum retain their bright yellow colour when dried and are therefore popular in dried bouquets. Another name is curry plant, because the entire plant smells strongly of curry. The hydrolate is created by the distillation of the flowering herb of the helichrysum. The scent of the water is more subtle than the oil: Mediterranean, herbaceous, honey-like with hints of tea and chamomile.

Storage advice
Hydrolates have a shorter shelf life than essential oils. Fresh hydrolates are pure and bacteria-free. It is best to store a hydrolate in the refrigerator, or as cool (and dark) as possible. Helichrysum hydrolate is shelf-stable for 9 months after opening.
