Always trim or cut the wick to 5 mm before lighting your Joik candle. This prevents the wick from smoking. If you do not trim the wick, the flame may become too large and the wick will produce smoke – burning a candle under these conditions can be dangerous and it also damages the quality of the candle burning experience. If you notice the flame becoming too large or smoking, extinguish the candle, trim the wick, and relight the candle.
Warnings
Do not burn the candle for more than 3-4 hours continuously. Always place the candle on a heat-resistant surface and away from flammable objects. Always keep a candle out of reach of children and pets. Do not burn a candle in drafty areas. Never leave a burning candle unattended.
