Jasmine is a climbing plant with star-shaped, white flowers that originally comes from the Himalayas and China and is now cultivated in many sunny and hot urban locations. Jasmine can grow over 10 meters high. In India, it is called "moonlight in the forest". For thousands of years, fragrances and flavorings have been extracted from jasmine in China and the East, for example for tea flavoring or as perfume oils. Jasmine is one of the indispensable ingredients and heart notes of perfumes.
